2026 Benefits Improvements

Starting in 2026, homecare workers, personal support workers, and personal care attendant are eligible for these exciting improvements to Carewell SEIU 503 benefits:

Paid Time Off (PTO)
In 2026, you can earn up to 5 hours of PTO every month and 60 hours per year through Carewell SEIU 503. Previously, care providers could earn a maximum of 48 hours of PTO per year.

Thanks to the SEIU 503 bargaining unit, care providers receive a wage increase starting January 1, 2026! If you want your PTO paid out at the new higher rate, you need to request PTO on or after March 1, 2026. This is because pay rate adjustments earned in one month are not reflected in your PTO earnings until the end of the following month.

Vision
Carewell Vision provides a $500 eyewear allowance for in-network purchases. In 2026, you’ll have the flexibility to apply the $500 allowance toward both 1 pair of frames and 1 set of contacts (combined, not $500 per item). Progressive lenses will be included at no extra charge.

In 2026, Kaiser Dental benefits are better than before. With expanded access, easier to use online tools, and an improved scheduling system, you can get the dental care you need when you need it.

Healthcare Cost Assistance (HCA)
Care providers on Medicare who are enrolled in Healthcare Cost Assistance (HCA) benefits get up to $200/month for Medicare Part B premiums in 2026. Plus, all care providers receiving HCA benefits get $8,000/year for eligible out-of-pocket-expenses, up from $7,165/year in 2025.
