Throughout the year, we offer live webinars you can join from your home. Also, during Marketplace Open Enrollment (between November 1 – January 15), our team travels to cities across Oregon to offer in-person support for care providers who prefer a personal connection.

What to bring to an in-person event

Below is a list of things to bring with you so we can support you in filling out forms or using our online tools. Please bring your eyeglasses or hearing aids if you use them.

Start the process of enrolling in or renewing a Carewell-approved Marketplace plan For each member of your tax household:

  • Social Security number(s)
  • Permanent Resident Card or Certificate of Naturalization (if applicable)
  • Income information
  • Employer information (if applicable)
Become eligible for or update Healthcare Cost Assistance for a Carewell-approved Marketplace plan
  • Marketplace Eligibility Notice
  • The Carewell-approved Marketplace plan premium bill

Become eligible for or update Healthcare Cost Assistance for Medicare plans (up to the last 12 months)
  • For Part B premium: Social Security letter for the previous 12 months or Medicare premium bill
  • For Part D, Advantage, or Supplement plans starting Jan 2027: premium bill

Request Healthcare Cost Assistance and receive a Benefit Convenience Card (BCC) for Military Connected Benefits
  • Identification Card: VA Benefits or CHAMPVA or TRICARE
  • Form DD 214
  • State-issued driver’s license with “Veteran” on it
  • Summary of Benefits letter
  • Enrollment verification letter

Request premium reimbursement for a Carewell-approved Marketplace medical plan up to the last 12 months

  • Premium invoice(s) stating the plan name and premium amount and proof of payment(s) or
  • An insurance carrier statement for proof of coverage, cost, and payment(s)

Are these in-person events required?

No, these events are optional. We’re hosting these events to offer direct in-person support to care providers about Carewell Training and Benefits.

Do I need to RSVP?

Yes, please RSVP, so we know you’re coming. If you arrive without signing up, you may have to wait longer to meet with a Carewell staff member.

Do I have to stay for the whole event?

No, you only need to attend at the time you RSVP.

What if I can’t attend?
  • If you can’t attend any of the in-person events, you can sign up for a live webinar. To see the live webinars schedule, scroll down this page.

These are hour-long monthly sessions hosted by the Oregon Home Care Commission (OHCC) in collaboration with Carewell SEIU 503. Register for one of the events to hear important updates, receive resources, and ask your questions.

Are Power Hours required?

No. Power Hours are not a required training, and attending doesn’t count toward any training requirements.

Do I get paid for attending a Power Hour?

No.

How do I adjust the language settings?

There are instructions for how to adjust language settings in English and with an interpreter at the beginning of each session.

What if I can’t attend the event I’m interested in?

Recordings of the Power Hour events along with copies of the presentations are posted to the OHCC website a couple weeks after the event. Check out this page for resources. Please note recordings are only available in English.
