Also, during Marketplace Open Enrollment (Nov. 1-Dec. 15), our team and benefit partners travel to different cities in Oregon to offer in-person education and support for care providers who prefer a personal connection.

What to bring to an in-person event

Below is a list of things to bring with you so we can support you in filling out forms or using our online tools. Please bring your eyeglasses or hearing aids if you use them.

Are these in-person events required?

No, these events are optional. We’re hosting these events to offer direct in-person support to care providers about Carewell Training and Benefits.

Do I need to RSVP?

Yes, please RSVP, so we know you’re coming. If you arrive without signing up, you may have to wait longer to meet with a Carewell staff member.

Do I have to stay for the whole event?

No, you can come at any time during the event.

What if I can’t attend?

If you can’t attend any of the in-person events, you can sign up for a live webinars. To see the live webinars schedule, scroll down this page.

Can I bring my family members or my consumer to the event?

Yes, you can bring your consumer or your family members to the event.

How to Join the Zoom Webinars

If you have any problems joining the webinar, please call 1-844-503-7348. 
By phone (audio only):
  • Dial the Zoom phone number and enter the zoom ID number 
  • Keep in mind that that Zoom phone numbers are not toll-free. If you use the dial-in number, your phone service provider will treat it as a regular phone call charge. Learn about this here. 
By computer or tablet:
  • To watch how to install and use Zoom on your computer or tablet, go here.
  • If you’ve already registered for a webinar and have an email account 
      • Go to the confirmation email from Carewell and click on the webinar link to join 
  •  If you didn’t register or don’t have an email account:
      • Go to zoom.us, click “Join A Meeting” 
      • Enter the Meeting ID number 
      • Click on the “launch Zoom” button

Looking for more ways to learn about topics related to work, benefits, and training?

These are hour-long monthly sessions hosted by the Oregon Home Care Commission (OHCC) in collaboration with Carewell SEIU 503. Register for one of the events to hear important updates, receive resources, and ask your questions.

Are Power Hours required?

No. Power Hours are not a required training, and attending doesn’t count toward any training requirements.

Do I get paid for attending a Power Hour?

No.

How do I adjust the language settings?

There are instructions for how to adjust language settings in English and with an interpreter at the beginning of each session.

What if I can’t attend the event I’m interested in?

Recordings of the Power Hour events along with copies of the presentations are posted to the OHCC website a couple weeks after the event. Check out this page for resources. Please note recordings are only available in English.
