__________

Carewell SEIU 503 has partnered with Long-Term CareWorks, RISE Partnership’s CNA training program, to offer care providers like you the opportunity to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA) — free of cost, in as little as 3 weeks!

Long-Term CareWorks is sponsoring 10 students in Lane County to go through EMT Associates’ CNA education program. This program provides expert instruction, career mentorship, and financial support on your path to advancing your healthcare career.

During the training, students receive:

  • Weekly stipend of $21.50/hr.
  • Scrub reimbursements
  • Non-slip shoe reimbursement
  • CNA and CPR training
  • Career navigation and professional development

 What is the program schedule?

This 3-week program consists of in-person instruction and hands-on clinicals provided by EMT Associates.

Class dates and times are as follows:

  • 6/16-6/20 from 8am-4:30pm
  • 6/23-6/25 from 8am-4:30pm
  • 6/26-6/27 from 6:45am-3pm
  • 6/30-7/2 from 6:45am-3pm

Due to the short time frame of this fast-paced program, there will be no makeup days available. You must attend every class over the course of the program.

If you have any prior commitments during that time frame that you’re not able to miss, we ask that you keep this program in mind to join at a later date.

Who is eligible for the program?

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • Ability to attend all in-person classes and clinicals
  • Live within 50 miles of EMT Associates lab (1144 Gateway Loop, Springfield OR 97477)

What can I do with my new CNA license?

Long-Term CareWorks partners with union-backed facilities across Oregon that are looking to fill open CNA positions. While Long-Term CareWorks doesn’t guarantee job placement, career coaches will help you find job opportunities to turn your new CNA license into a career.

While you search for a job in a long-term care facility, having a current Oregon CNA certification may make you eligible to take fewer professional development certification (PDC) courses to get a PDC increase!

This training is currently offered in English.
