Over the next few months, the Health Career Advancement Program (H-CAP) will be hosting a series of FREE online workshops for care providers like you to learn more about trauma-informed care and dealing with grief and loss.
Trauma-Informed Care
In this 1.5-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of trauma, the principles of trauma-informed care, and tools to build a trauma-informed health system for healthcare workers and those they serve.Â
This introductory training is designed for healthcare workers to learn:Â
- What trauma-informed care is
- How to apply trauma-informed care principles in the workplace
- How workers can reduce stress, address vicarious trauma, and engage in self-care activities

Grief and Loss
Caregivers routinely face death and dying when caring for individuals at the end –of life. In this 1.5-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of grief, loss, and mourning; understand how grief can impact caregivers; and develop the tools to cope with grief personally and professionally. Â
